The fifth Huawei Eco-Connect Europe, our annual flagship event for the European region, was an entirely online event held between October 20 and 21, 2020.
During the two-day event, we focused on cooperation with customers and partners, as well as joint solutions that bring value to businesses and support the unified evolution of ICT. During the event, attendees had access to more than ten forums as well as a virtual online showroom.
In partnership with UNESCO IITE, Huawei has launched ICT Course Content Localization (CCL). The aim of CCL is to make leading ICT teaching and study materials available to everyone, by encouraging ICT educators around the world to translate English language ICT course resources into a diverse range of languages, to help enhance ICT teaching and learning and empower non-Anglophone learners by giving them access to leading educational resources.VIEW MORE
In 2019, Huawei held its third Middle East ICT Competition. Aiming at nurturing local ICT talent and building a talent ecosystem in the region, the competition attracted participants from 10 countries (the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq). Huawei attaches great importance to the cultivation and development of talents in Europe. In 2018-2019, about 2,100 students in Europe participated in Huawei’s development program. In the next three years, Huawei will develop 5,000 elite talents in Europe through the "DigitAll Explorer Program", including the Seeds for the Future Program, Internship Program, and the Fresh Graduate Program. 1,500 outstanding young talents will be selected from universities to join the Seeds for the Future Program for an international exchange experience and to visit China. 2,000 interns will go to Huawei for in-depth study and business practice. In addition, 1,500 fresh graduates will be recruited by Huawei, to grow into a strategic new force for the company's future development in Europe.VIEW MORE
Huawei supports up to 25 committed and cosmopolitan students who want to take on direct responsibilities during their last academic year. Participants receive EUR450 per month during the last academic year and an employment contract with Huawei before the end of their studies. A mentoring program and training courses at the German and European companies offer a wide range of development opportunities. This gives the scholarship holders a head start at Huawei.VIEW MORE
